Tooth; Little Helpers; Cookies

Happy Wednesday!  I need a little pick-me-up, and maybe you do too.  Let’s count our blessings, shall we?

1.  My tooth doesn’t hurt!  One of my molars broke yesterday.  Yup… it broke.  I don’t know what happened, but now it’s like I have a hole in my tooth.  However, I have no pain.  Yay!  No emergency dental bills to worry about.

2.  I was making spaghetti for dinner last night and both Aiden and Dallin decided they wanted to help.  They put noodles in the pot (despite my cries of, “But we don’t need any more noodles!  That’s enough!”), stirred the noodles, and stirred the sauce.  Then Dallin set the table.  It was kind of slow going because I could only give him one plate at a time and repeat the instructions 40 twelve times:  “Put that on the table where Mommy sits.  No, where Mommy sits.  On the table.  Yes, that’s her chair, now put it on the table.  No, not at Dallin’s place.  At Mommy’s place.  On the table.  Good job!!”  I have such good helpers.

3.  My visiting teaching partner made cookies and gave me a plate.  They were still kind of warm, are soft, and have lots of chocolate chips.  Mmmmmm!! (Dallin and I will eat them before anyone else gets home, so they never have to know, either!!  hee hee)

    1. Mmmmmm, chocolate. Too bad you had to spoil it with almonds. 😉
    2. Yes, your writing is going VERY well. I’m still waiting for some more installments of a couple of stories… hint, hint
    3. Yay for the weekend!!

  2. dude, you still gotta get your tooth checked out. I cracked one of my molars in april, but it didn’t really hurt, I could feel the crack and it was kind of annoying, but that was it. by august it was a dullish pain, nothing huge, but I wanted to get it checked out before I went back to school. the dentist looked at it and because it was cracked to the inner part of the tooth, most of it had decayed and he said if I had waited even two weeks longer I would need a root canal. as it is he put some stuff in it to try and avoid a root canal but I still might have to get one. the point is, don’t wait like I did, I mean you obviously have a little amount of time but you don’t want to have to pay for a root canal when you can get away with just paying for a filling.

Oh, don’t worry. I’m definitely going to the dentist (even though I HATE going to the dentist and am actually quite scared. Dental offices make me physically ill. The sounds alone hurt my teeth and make me sick. Oh well.). A friend of mine who actually knows a thing or two about teeth looked at my tooth and said I’ll probably need a filling and a crown, but they’ll do x-rays just to make sure it hasn’t decayed under the surface at all. Whew. I hope it’s very quick to fix. On a good note… I’m waaaaay overdue for a cleaning, so that will be nice to have. I hate going to the dentist, but I love how my teeth feel once I’m home again.

  3. wow, I love dinner time helpers! That’s almost as helpful as when they try to unload the dishwasher and leave everything on the floor for me!

Yay for your tooth not hurting! I hope its an easy fix! 🙂

  4. Yeah, get your tooth fixed, I had one break too, the only thing that hurt was that it kept cutting my tongue, and the dentist did say that it broke because of decay, so they had to get it all out if you want to know how they did it, call me and l’ll tell ya so you know what to expect:) good luck
